Spring 2016 Guest: Samantha Cartwright of 5amSam Cosplay

Samantha Cartwright has been actively involved in anime, cosplay, and conventions for twelve years. With a working knowledge of about 200 hundred animes, she has created convention panels, games and participated in many fan-based discussions. She has created cosplay outfits for herself and others. Her latest creation was a commissioned cosplay costume.

Her top Five animes, although difficult to narrow down, are D. Gray-man, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Naruto, and Full Metal Alchemist – but the list can go on and on.

She has created and participated in many different panels and games, including: Cosplay 101, How to survive an Anime Con, Five Nights at Freddy’s (18+), D. Gray-Man, Kuroko no Basketball, Wheel of Anime, Welcome to Night Vale, Cosplay warm up, Cosplay Survival Guide, Ready Set Cosplay, and All About Cosplay.

She and her sister Rachel Cartwright perform as Kashi Shoga (Lyric Gingers). They have been singing together since… forever! You see they are Twins! They sang choral in high school, competed in numerous venues, they have placed in many, and Rachel won the School Idol. Rachel has auditioned for “American Idol” and “The Voice”.

Anime, cosplay, conventions and singing has played a large part of their short lives. They love to spread the joy that Anime has given them, in the hopes of bringing attention to this Grand adventure Called Anime.
