His greatest achievement to date is winning the Texas State Bat’letlh tournament two years running. His superpower is Epic Timing, and his weakness is wrong angles.

After gaining a degree in International Relations, living abroad, and spending two years in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program, Gaijin Goombah decided to devote his YouTube career to teaching multiculturalism around the world through the medium of video games.

From recent to retro, he explains a multitude of cultural references found in these games, and how video games can better educate the world about not only different cultures, but also perspectives and ways of thinking. Together with the other Game Theorists, MatPat, Drake, and Ronnie Oni Edwards, Gaijin pursues something more than just mind-rotting in games; Education and understanding of the world we live in.

Spring 2016 Guest: Samantha Cartwright of 5amSam Cosplay

Samantha Cartwright has been actively involved in anime, cosplay, and conventions for twelve years. With a working knowledge of about 200 hundred animes, she has created convention panels, games and participated in many fan-based discussions. She has created cosplay outfits for herself and others. Her latest creation was a commissioned cosplay costume.

Her top Five animes, although difficult to narrow down, are D. Gray-man, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Naruto, and Full Metal Alchemist – but the list can go on and on.

She has created and participated in many different panels and games, including: Cosplay 101, How to survive an Anime Con, Five Nights at Freddy’s (18+), D. Gray-Man, Kuroko no Basketball, Wheel of Anime, Welcome to Night Vale, Cosplay warm up, Cosplay Survival Guide, Ready Set Cosplay, and All About Cosplay.

She and her sister Rachel Cartwright perform as Kashi Shoga (Lyric Gingers). They have been singing together since… forever! You see they are Twins! They sang choral in high school, competed in numerous venues, they have placed in many, and Rachel won the School Idol. Rachel has auditioned for “American Idol” and “The Voice”.

Anime, cosplay, conventions and singing has played a large part of their short lives. They love to spread the joy that Anime has given them, in the hopes of bringing attention to this Grand adventure Called Anime.

Welcome Voice Actress Rachael Messer for A2F Spring 2016!

Rachael Messer is a professional and full time voice actress. She has voice acted in numerous animes, cartoons, video games, radio plays, and commercials. She has worked with FUNimation in animes.

She is currently the voice of Shiara in the new animated tv series “Prince Adventure” along with Christopher Sabat, Vic Mignogna, Chuck Huber, and Todd Haberkorn and many others. She is in Heroes of Newerth, the Teacher in Yanadere Simulator, Wakfu Raiders, a Wii U game called Anima: Gates of Time, Astra in the Xbox game, and over 40 different other games. She also does film and is the leading female role in the new tv series “It’s Just Brunch” with South Parks’ Toby Morton and Peter Bedgood.

First Guest Announcement for Spring 2016: Austin Tindle, Voice of Tokyo Ghoul’s Kaneki

Austin Tindle is a writer and actor living in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Orlando, Florida, raised in Austin, Texas and attended UTD on academic scholarship, where he almost became an Electrical Engineer. At 19 he was cast as Romeo and changed majors the same day. Maybe you’ve seen him on stage around Dallas at Kitchendog Theatre, WaterTower Theatre, Theatre Three, Stage West, Shakespeare Dallas, Project X, Second Thought Theatre, Nouveau 47, Upstart Theatre, and many others.

However, he’s probably most well-known for his work with Funimation Studios, where he has voiced many characters including Ayumu Aikawa in “Is this a Zombie?”, Accelerator in “A Certain Magical Index”, Shu Ouma in “Guilty Crown”, Marco Bodt in “Attack on Titan”, Karma in “Assassination Classroom”, and Kaneki in “Tokyo Ghoul”. And Austin has been a proud member of the Couchsurfing community since 2011. He just really loves couches.

Dripping With Good Looks Cosplay Dreams of Family Kotatsu

Welcome Dripping With Good Looks Cosplay this May! They are a cosplay group based in Arkansas, a group of friends with a passion for cosplay, making people smile, and for each other. The group has been together since 2012 with the newest member joining in late 2014.

The name Dripping with Good Looks Cosplay was inspired by Ouran High School Host Club. Yes, we are “that Ouran group”! We love hosting events for Arkansas Anime Festival and are honored to have the opportunity to serve and entertain you all again.
