Amtgard and Peculiar Cosplayers returning to A2F December 2014

is a world-wide organization dedicated to medieval and fantasy combat sports and recreation. We use padded weapons, fantasy and authentic clothing, and imagination to immerse players in aamtgard2-300x214 world of heroic combat, quests, crafts, and more.

is a small town cosplay group out of Peculiar, Missouri. They started their cosplay group unofficially in 2011 with their first two members, Marie Whelan and Lexie Phillips, expanding to seven members and giving themselves a name in 2014. They have travelled to many conventions, including Naka Kon in Kansas City, MO, and Cosplacon in Jefferson City, MO. They are excited to be returning to A2F to share some of the new cosplaying techniques they have procured with their latest cosplay experiences. Lexie Phillips– Lexie is a senior at Missouri Western State University, majoring in Digital Animation. She has cosplayed several characters, including Dragon Aspect Ysera from World of Warcraft, a Night Elf Druid from World of Warcraft, and Leona from League of Legends. She enjoys working with craft foam and artificial plants. Her next cosplay project is Kail from League of Legends.

Marie Whelan– Marie is a senior at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, majoring in Creative Writing. She has cosplays characters like Fenris from Dragon Age II, a level 1 Troll Mage from World of Warcraft, and Illidan Stormrage from World of Warcraft. She enjoys creating racial features and creating patterns. Her next cosplay project is Braum from League of Legends.

Caitlin Canupp– Caitlin is a senior at Missouri Western State University, majoring in Digital Animation. She has cosplayed characters such as Dragon Aspect Tarecgosa from World of Warcraft and Gangplank from League of Legends. She enjoys working with wire and craft foam. Her next cosplay project is Twitch from League of Legends.

Cole Tribolet- Cole currently works at Quicktrip, and he enjoys spending his spare time gaming. He has coplayed Malfurion Stormrage from World of Warcraft and Diana from League of Legends. He enjoys working with expanding foam and craft foam. His next cosplay project is Riven from League of Legends.

Jenae Phillips– Jenae is a resident of Bentonville, Arkansas, and likes to spend her spare time gaming and watching Doctor Who. She has cosplayed many OCs and characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, a Worgen Druid from World of Warcraft, and the Eleventh Doctor. She enjoys working with couch foam and creating full furry suits. Her next cosplay project is Ashe from League of Legends.

Poi refers to both a style of performance art and the equipment used for engaging in poi
performance. As a performance art, poi involves swinging tethered weights through a variety of rhythmical and geometric patterns. (sometimes aflame)

RyozanpakuRyozanpaku is a small martial arts team from Oklahoma made from five members. Join hershey , psycho, skittles, trainerboy, and padawan at the Third tenkaichi martial arts show where you’ll watch everything from extreme martial arts, advance board breaking techniques, and some new LED martial arts weapons, with anime and popular movie references and with audience involvement like getting to choose which member gets to use which weapon and song it’s a one of a kind martial arts show.
